Message from Colonel Mu’ummar Qaddafi

Gaddafi Unplugged and Uncensored

Translated by Professor Sam Hamod, Ph.D.

Recollections of My Life: Col. Mu’ummar Qaddafi, The Leader of the
Revolution. April 5, 2011.

In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful…

For 40 years, or was it longer, I can’t remember, I did all I could to
give people houses, hospitals, schools, and when they were hungry, I
gave them food. I even made Benghazi into farmland from the desert, I
stood up to attacks from that cowboy Reagan, when he killed my adopted
orphaned daughter, he was trying to kill me, instead he killed that
poor innocent child. Then I helped my brothers and sisters from Africa
with money for the African Union.

I did all I could to help people understand the concept of real
democracy, where people’s committees ran our country. But that was
never enough, as some told me, even people who had 10 room homes, new
suits and furniture, were never satisfied, as selfish as they were
they wanted more. They told Americans and other visitors, that they
needed “democracy” and “freedom” never realizing it was a cut throat
system, where the biggest dog eats the rest, but they were enchanted
with those words, never realizing that in America, there was no free
medicine, no free hospitals, no free housing, no free education and no
free food, except when people had to beg or go to long lines to get
soup.

No, no matter what I did, it was never enough for some, but for
others, they knew I was the son of Gamal Abdel Nasser, the only true
Arab and Muslim leader we’ve had since Salah-al-Deen, when he claimed
the Suez Canal for his people, as I claimed Libya, for my people, it
was his footsteps I tried to follow, to keep my people free from
colonial domination – from thieves who would steal from us.

Now, I am under attack by the biggest force in military history, my
little African son, Obama wants to kill me, to take away the freedom
of our country, to take away our free housing, our free medicine, our
free education, our free food, and replace it with American style
thievery, called “capitalism,” but all of us in the Third World know
what that means, it means corporations run the countries, run the
world, and the people suffer. So, there is no alternative for me, I
must make my stand, and if Allah wishes, I shall die by following His
path, the path that has made our country rich with farmland, with food
and health, and even allowed us to help our African and Arab brothers
and sisters to work here with us, in the Libyan Jamahiriya.

I do not wish to die, but if it comes to that, to save this land, my
people, all the thousands who are all my children, then so be it.

Let this testament be my voice to the world, that I stood up to
crusader attacks of NATO, stood up to cruelty, stood up to betrayal,
stood up to the West and its colonialist ambitions, and that I stood
with my African brothers, my true Arab and Muslim brothers, as a
beacon of light. When others were building castles, I lived in a
modest house, and in a tent. I never forgot my youth in Sirte, I did
not spend our national treasury foolishly, and like Salah-al-Deen, our
great Muslim leader, who rescued Jerusalem for Islam, I took little
for myself…

In the West, some have called me “mad”, “crazy”, but they know the
truth yet continue to lie, they know that our land is independent and
free, not in the colonial grip, that my vision, my path, is, and has
been clear and for my people and that I will fight to my last breath
to keep us free, may Allah almighty help us to remain faithful and
free.

One by one they are defamed, given a bad name and then taken away in the name of social justice, democracy and other words masking the truth of cruelty, terrorism and lust for power.

Just a quick question: Who gave him the right to rule 40 years and then prepare his son to rule for another 40 years and it goes on. How one man at his own will, can own a country? Whatever you do, you cannot justify dictators…

Yaqoob

He was a Great leader of the Muslim world !! killed by the Propaganda of the Americans and the American media and the fake leaders of the Muslim world!! I will remember him as one the few Heroes of the world who actually cared for the innocent.

When his own people hate him so much that they defile his body, I am amazed and shocked how certain Pakistanis are supporting this man.

Getting rid of Qaddhafi took ages just wait till Libyans try & get rid of US & NATO (North Atlantic Terrorist Organisation)

I condemn and abhor they way he was killed, he should have been brought to justice and face trial. but he made them barbarian, he wasn’t killed by a regular army that came out of war institution after studying war ethics, he was killed by rebels who were the victims of his brutality and injustices for last 4 decades so I am not surpripsed with the treatment meted out to him by these rebels.

tanzeela

October 25th, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Though he committed a lot of atrocities against his people yet in my personal opinion he shouldn’t have been killed thus, it would have been lot better had he been trialed according to Geneva Convention. The U.S.A and its allies have succeeded in routing Qaddafi and his escort altogether but I hope Qaddafi’s successor wouldn’t be so pliable as to become imperialists’ lackey in the years to come. I hope he would be sane enough to save his oil reserves from so-called super power and allies.

Tanzeela

October 25th, 2011 at 6:01 pm

What hopes the UN and the G8 have for Libyan people now? and why some imperil apologists are celebrating his demise when they often condemn all types of killings and murders? Are they different from those Talibans who think a dissident must be killed?

umer

October 25th, 2011 at 6:01 pm

Gaddafi may’ve been crazy, but he was right about one thing, that the UN security council is a joke.

Yumna

October 25th, 2011 at 6:02 pm

No one deserves to be killed like he got killed, regardless of the magnitude of their crime. This is an insult to humanity.

Wow..Free education, free health facilites, free houses, no taxes, no bills…amazing in this era………

well for rebels it may have taken months to remove col ghadafi…but it will take genrations for them to get rid of NATO….

Naan Haleem

Well for me… War on Terror = WOT = Weapons, Oil, Territories .

Libyan oil is of much finer quality than that from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. So, after Iraq, Libya had to be next target of NATO; despite the fact that Libya of Gaddafi did not wage war on any country nor it ever threatened to. The Interest-free economic system of Libya was always considered an unwanted neighbour by central bankers of EU.

In her recent trip to Pakistan, Secretary of State Mrs. Hillary Clinton hinted on the ultimate objective of Afghan War, i.e. “New Silk Road” and oil & gas pipelines from central Asian states to warm waters of Arabian sea and to India (the new supplementary economic engine of the west).

It is quite obvious that US wants to ensure the safety and security of this corridor from Kushka (in Turkmenistan)to Gawadar (in Baluchistan, not Pakistan). All they need from Pakistan is to help them keep Pashtoons remain within their limits (both literally and geographically) and to allow the central Asian Pipeline (not the Iranian) to pass through to India. The War is just a tool to capture the relevant (and adjoining) territories and to sell weapons to governments and/or so-called rebels to fight each other.

I guess its no secret to anybody that why and how directors of American weapon and petroleum industries provide heavy funding to presidential candidates. Mr. Dick Cheney, Mr. Donald Rumsfeld and Ms. Condoleezza Rice are prime examples.

I do not know who is right or who is wrong. but the end here was not so good. i havent followed the whole libyan revolution? but if they had all the facilities and everything then what was it that they wanted from the new governess… tax rate very low. insurance system is very good. every thing was perfect. what went wrong????

No body can support Qaddafi’s rule of 40 years, but there are few questions d way he was treated as a dead body, does Islam allow us to do so? wht is difference between d people who dragged and put his body in the freezer just to show public and American solidier and isreali doing in their so called war?what message are we sending the world? r we true muslims who believe in peace and forgiveness?… i feel it was disgrace whtever Qaddafi did to his own people and whatever that was done to qaddafi’s dead body. Qaddafi was captured alive than why was he killed, why not brought to court of justice and punished according islamic laws or law of land.

there is an english phrase, “give a dog a bad name and kill it”. i did not want to use this phrase for a muslim hero. but these bastards r dogs. they killed our hero. Shame on you OBAMA. He failed to realize that most black folks in the US are secretly proud of Gaddafi for standing up to the ‘white man’. He will not get their votes in 2012. I imagine anyone can run against him and still win over him without the minority votes.

sarmed

October 26th, 2011 at 3:21 am

The west will manipulate us and break us from within, they will put ideas in our heads. And apparently we are stupid enough to let that happen, believing they are our ideas. Shame.

Will

October 26th, 2011 at 4:04 am

@ Tanzeela said “Though he committed a lot of atrocities against his people….”

Can you please give examples of the “atrocities” Col. Gaddafi committed against his people? I’m having trouble understanding how a leader can do so much for his people, including giving $50,000 for housing (even before providing adequate housing for his own parents!), free college education, no electric bill, free quality health care, sharing the oil profits….etc! Sounds like a man who loved his people. Help me understand why Qaddafi was so “bad”!!!???

Will

majeed khan

Gaddafi has done quite a lot of good things for his people, but also, in 42 years thousands of his own people have been killed, no body can call his name in the public… He got what he deserved imo, he got…he critisized USA And NATO, he is responsible for his own job, if he worked the way of one islamic Rulers, no body could’ve touch him, he made the people his GREEN book.

muhammad rafiq

October 26th, 2011 at 8:02 am

i think that the West wants to capture all the energy resources left. they are not interested in Muslims or non-Muslims. they are targeting the third world countries rite atm because they know they are weak, but what happens when its all gone! and only want the left over energy for their countries. But, then are they the only one who have the right to rule and live? Do other nations not have the right to breath on this earth. this is the creative democracy for the world. one can only hope that this capitalism ends!

Dayyabu

October 26th, 2011 at 8:10 am

I really condemned the way he was killed, What hope the UN and the G8 have for Libyan people now? it is simple they just want them to like Iraq and Afghanistan where chaos, confusion, rebellion and insurgency came to stay, now only God knows when is going to end. To others this is a lesson to learn.

Libya & QADDAFI …FACTS THAT CANT BE DENIED
1. There is no electricity bill in Libya; electricity is free for all its citizens.

2. There is no interest on loans, banks in Libya are
state-owned and loans given to all its citizens at 0% interest by law.

3. Home considered a human right in Libya –
Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a home. Gaddafi’s father has
died while him, his wife and his mother are still living
in a tent.

4. All newlyweds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinar (US$
50,000 ) by the government to buy their first apartment so to help start up the family.

5. Education and medical treatments are free in
Libya. Before Gaddafi only 25% of Libyans are literate. Today the figure is 83%.

6. Should Libyans want to take up farming career,
they would receive farming land, a farming house, equipments, seeds and livestock to kick- start their farms
– all for free.

7. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical
facilities they need in Libya, the government funds them to go abroad for it – not only free but they get US $2, 300/mth accommodation and car allowance.

8. In Libyan, if a Libyan buys a car, the government
subsidized 50% of the price.

9. The price of petrol in Libya is $0. 14 per liter.

10. Libya has no external debt and its reserves
amount to $150 billion – now frozen globally.

11. If a Libyan is unable to get employment after
graduation the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed until employment is found.

12. A portion of Libyan oil sale is, credited directly to
the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens.

13. A mother who gave birth to a child receive US
$5 ,000

14. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs $ 0.15

15. 25% of Libyans have a university degree

16. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation
project, known as the Great Man-Made River project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country.

******Now we have democracy in Pakistan, people was elected through vote. now compare above mention dictatorship with our 100% democracy. Personally “me” will salute 100 times to such kind of dictatorship.***

The saying of the Greatest Leader of Mankind and the last Massenger of ALLAH Subhana-wa-Thaalla, “he, who tells futher the saying of an other man, without the investigation for it’s truthfulness, is enough for such a person to be a lier”. And further the saying of some western scholer “All that gliters are not gold” so as American so called democracy and living standered of a common man, on media and in hearsay ilusions.

Gaddafi was a hero and He is Hero. You did your job very well. USA don’t like your Gold plan. They killed you

October 26th, 2011 at 6:59 pm

I think the dictatorship is good as compared to the democracy like we have. Even it is the best when a common man meets his daily needs like food, clothing, education, health facilities and access to labour market etc. The main thing is that it the matter of people of lybia, not the NATO and especially USA who has contracted the so called democracy in the whole Muslim world to capture their resources. He was killed un-humanly.

October 27th, 2011 at 5:19 am

Are any of those posting here actually from Libya? I live in the midwest USA and I’m trying to find the truth of the matter.
Personally I don’t believe anything I hear from the U.S. mainstream media. I honestly would like to know what daily life was actually like in Libya from those who live or lived there.
Seems like Gaddafi did much for his people, but were their also serious human rights violations??? Info please????

Colonel Gaddafi was the greatest and most humane leader in the History of mankind and at the same time the greatest victim of american greed and obesity on natural resources.

From Russia with love

November 16th, 2011 at 5:01 pm

Colonel Gaddafi was a Hero, who died defending his Motherland from the NATO-fascists.
He will be remembered forever as a true hero of Africa. And Libya will soon realise what had happened and Libyans will remember time of his rule as paradise.
Long live Green Resistance!

Rasheed

November 26th, 2011 at 4:59 pm

Capitalists are changing the world into a modern slaves camp where people will not be beaten by sticks rather they will be beaten with economic greed.
I respected Gaddafi during his life and now I pray for him that Allah grant him Jannat ul Ferdus.
The way his people martyred him was so cruel that it makes one crying while looking into what he give to his people.

Kamran

January 9th, 2012 at 5:46 pm

Actually Qadafi stood for blacks and White American don’t want the person who supports balcks.

Moreover NATO is like a fog, where ever they smells OIL and natural resources they reach there with the slogan of freedom and liberty.
